Erkursion nach Karlsruhe (KIT)

Vom 3.-5.12.2019 organisiert die Fachschaft eine Exkursion zum Karlsruher Institut für Technologie für 20 Physikstudierende. Programmpunkte sind

• das KATRIN-Experiment zur Bestimmung der Neutrinomasse
• der KARA-Elektronenspeicherring
• der Gyrotronteststand
• die AIDA Wolkenkammer
• der Reaktor MZFR
• und das Energylab 2.0.

Am ersten Abend besuchen wir unseren „Partner“ Capgemini und spielen Lego-Scrum. Scrum ist ein Prozess der agilen Softwareentwicklung, das man an diesem Abend spielerisch kennenlernen wird. Das vorläufige Programm zur Exkursion findet sich hier. Dank unserer Partner und Sponsoren Schäfter und Kirchhoff, Mabri.Vision und Capgemini beträgt die Eigenbeteiligung für die Exkursion nur 40€. Darin sind alle Kosten gedeckt (Anreise, Jugendherberge, Transport vor Ort, Verpflegung bis Donnerstag Mittag).

Die verbindliche Anmeldung erfolgt per E-Mail an maria.spethmann@rwth-aachen.de mit Angabe des Namens und Semesters bis zum 06.11.2019. Die Exkursion richtet sich ausschließlich an Studierende der Physik. Falls es mehr Anmeldungen als Plätze gibt (was relativ wahrscheinlich ist), wird gelost und die Gewinner werden am 07.11.2019 benachrichtigt.

The Fachschaft is organizing an excursion to the Karlsruher Institute of Technology from 3rd December to 5th December 2019. We will visit

• the KATRIN experiment measuring the neutrino mass
• the KARA electron storage ring
• the Gyrotron facility
• the AIDA cloud chamber
• the reactor MZFR
• and the Energylab 2.0.

In the first evening we will visit our ‘partner’ Capgemini and play Lego Scrum. Scrum is a process of agile software development.

Originally, the excursion was planned in German, but we assume that we can ask for English guided tours in most cases. Thanks to our partners and sponsors Schäfter und Kirchhoff, Mabri.Vision and Capgemini, the excursion will only cost 40€ per Person. The costs include transportation, accommodation and meals (up to lunch on Thursday).

To sign up for the excursion, please send an email with your name and your semester before 6th November to maria.spethmann@rwth-aachen.de. The excursion is only for students that are enrolled in Physics. If there are more registrations than we can offer places, we will draw lots and contact the winners on 7th November.
